Repeat Prescriptions & Electronic Prescribing (EPS)

The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) gives you the chance to go straight to the pharmacy to collect your medications without having to call into the GP surgery to collect your prescription first.  We will send your prescription electronically to the pharmacy of your choice.  You can choose to ‘nominate’ a pharmacy that suits your needs, for example a pharmacy near to your home or work. This service has been ‘live’ since 8th July 2015 and  is working very well across the country. Please contact Reception for more information.

There are many ways in which you can order your repeat prescription.

Online (you must register to do this – see Patient Access tab)

By phone – ring the surgery on 0191 4563824 between

11.00am-5.30pm.

By post – send in your request and enclose a stamped addressed envelope if you you would like us to return it to you.

By Pharmacy/Chemist – please contact your local pharmacy and they can arrange to order, collect and dispense your medication.  Some pharmacies also have  delivery service where they will deliver your medication to your home.

In person– call into the surgery and place your written request in the prescription box at reception or speak to a receptionist at the desk.
